Case Vase is actually about Case and that is where the emphasis is and not about the perfectly rhyming word that follows. Use of the following word is a practice wherein people play with words in casual way for reference in daily parlance. Other such examples can be admit – shadmit, confess- shunfess, pork-shork, etc, and here in these examples the following word has no meaning but is only rhyming. Other examples can be when – then, here-shear or tell-well where both words have meaning and are rhyming too.

Case, the word, is used in almost all areas of science, art, technology and everywhere. Without trying to make it so much specific, a bird eye view of Case (/Vase) can be touched:

With this view we try to answer some of the ambiguities:

What should a case definition include?

A case definition includes criteria for person, place, time, and clinical features, specific to the outbreak under investigation, an instance of disease or injury. "Person" describes key characteristics the patients share in common.

What is a case in case study?

In the social and life sciences, a case study is a research method involving an up-close, in-depth, and detailed examination of a particular case. For example, a case study in medicine may examine a specific patient that a doctor treated, and a case study in business might study a particular firm's strategy.

Who is a case?

A case is a particular instance of something. In a business context, a case is a collection of information about a particular instance of something, such as a person, company, incident or problem. ... A business case, for example, is the collection of information assembled to support taking some kind of action and in  the social and life sciences, a case study is a research method involving detailed examination of a particular case.

A lot of methodological papers have been dedicated to case study but, paradoxically, the question “what is a case?” has been less studied. Hence the fact that researchers conducting a case study are sometimes surprised by what they are experiencing. So:  Why is a real case study more puzzling than expected, having read the literature on case study? We assume that the answer lies in a paradox: despite what is suggested by the double singular “case study”, a case study requires a comparative approach.

There is need to address: the three fundamental issues one must tackle when doing a case study: What is my case a case of? What is the stuff that my case is made of? What can my case do? (or what do cases do?)

A case study is a written account of a real customer's experience with your business. It typically includes the problem the customer was facing before using your product or service, and how you helped overcome that problem.

Before writing, it is required to follow these guidelines to help you prepare and understand the case study:

  • Read and Examine the Case Thoroughly. Take notes, highlight relevant facts, underline Key problems.

  • Focus Your Analysis. Identify two to five key problems. ...

  • Uncover Possible Solutions/Changes Needed. ...

  • Select the Best Solution.

Focusing on our analysis, identifying key problems, uncover possible solutions and select the best solution is all the work, and it is here where we go wrong. Our biases are not visible until we present the outcome of our decision making process. Correct judgments that do away with bias have an element of dependence on perception. Gestalt Switch explains this well.
